What is a section 25 notice?
A section 25 Notice is served on a tenant of a commercial property on the commercial lease expiring to end the business tenancy. It is used to make the tenant aware of proposed changes to the existing lease or to oppose renewal. Section 25 notices must be served no more than 12 and not less than 6 months prior to when the landlord wants the current tenant to leave.
Security of Tenure gives the Tenant the right to be offered a new tenancy at the end of the term.
